More Than a Safety Requirement — A Design Statement

Railing is one of those details that people notice more than they realize. A clean, well-built railing system ties together the entire look of a deck, porch, or staircase — and a sloppy one does exactly the opposite.

At Accurate Fence, we install railing systems from IdealRail and other premium manufacturers — aluminum systems engineered for durability, corrosion resistance, and a finished look that holds up in Metro Atlanta's humid climate.

Whether you need a single handrail for a front-door stoop or a full perimeter railing system around a multi-level deck, we'll measure, supply, and install it right — with zero guesswork and a clean finish every time.

Why Choose Accurate Fence for Your Railing?

Railing installation done right requires more than just cutting and screwing — here's what makes our work stand out.

01

Precise On-Site Measurement

Every railing installation starts with a thorough on-site measurement — we account for terrain, rise-over-run on stairs, post spacing, and code requirements before a single part is ordered. No surprises on install day.

02

Code-Compliant Installation

Residential and commercial railing systems must meet local building codes for height, baluster spacing, and load capacity. We install to code every time — so you pass inspection without the headache of rework.

03

Premium Systems, Not Builder-Grade

We work with proven brands like IdealRail — commercial-grade aluminum systems that are engineered to last, not economy products that look tired within a few years. Your railing should still look great a decade from now.

04

In-House Licensed Crew

Every installation is handled by our own licensed, experienced crew — not subcontractors. That means consistent quality, accountability, and a team you can call back if you ever have a question or concern.

05

Serving Metro Atlanta Since 1999

Over 25 years of fencing and railing installations across Gwinnett, Forsyth, Hall, Jackson, Barrow, Walton, Oconee, and surrounding counties. We know local codes, local terrain, and how to build for Atlanta's climate.

Railing Questions, Answered

Common questions from Metro Atlanta homeowners and property managers about railing installation.

What's the difference between railing and handrail? +
Railing refers to the full barrier system — posts, top rail, balusters — typically installed along the edge of a deck, balcony, or elevated surface. Handrail specifically refers to the graspable rail along a staircase or ramp. Both can be required by building code, but they serve slightly different functions. We install both.
Does Georgia require railing on decks and porches? +
In general, Georgia follows the International Residential Code (IRC), which requires guardrails on decks or porches that are 30 inches or more above the ground. The railing must be at least 36 inches high for residential decks. We install to code so your project passes inspection — we'll confirm current local requirements during your estimate.
How long does a railing installation take? +
Most residential railing projects are completed in a single day. Larger commercial or multi-level installations may take two to three days. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your free on-site estimate based on the scope and complexity of your project.
What material do you recommend for outdoor railing in Georgia? +
For most outdoor residential applications in Metro Atlanta, we recommend powder-coated aluminum. It resists rust and corrosion in Georgia's humid climate, requires no maintenance, and looks great for decades. For a more ornamental or heavy-duty application, iron or steel is an excellent option — though it may require periodic repainting to prevent rust over time.
Can you match railing to my existing fence style? +
Absolutely. We'll review your existing fence or outdoor aesthetic and recommend railing options that complement the look. Whether you have an ornamental iron fence or a clean modern aluminum system, we can match the color, profile, and feel to tie everything together cohesively.
